Full-length photographic portrait of a young soldier of the Bulgarian Royal Guard, shown standing in a three-quarter pose, looking into the distance. The subject wears a highly distinctive full-dress uniform: a dark uniform richly adorned with white braiding and decorative braided loops on the chest, typical of European traditional uniforms (hussar / light cavalry inspiration).
A broad light-coloured belt crosses the torso diagonally, accompanied by a waist belt and service cords. The whole emphasizes both the ceremonial and martial character of the function.

The background is a neutral studio setting, with sepia tone. A handwritten signature or pencil annotation can be seen in the upper right area, along with signs of wear on the support (corners, edges, tiny stains), testifying to period preservation.
This type of uniform, with braiding and decorative loops, refers to a light cavalry / honour guard aesthetic widely used in European royal guards at the end of the 19th century.
